Tommy's Many Faces
Lately Tommy loves diaper changes and baths a whole lot. He gives us the most smiles during those times. He also thinks his thumb tastes really good. Tommy is growing up so fast we can hardly believe it. He is already starting to get his little hands on everything he can reach. We are so scared for when this kid becomes mobile!
In other news, we are moving into our house next week! We can hardly wait! We'll be posting pictures of the house soon.

All Aboard!
We have had a couple of VERY exciting weeks. Here are just a few things that have happened:
-We went house hunting, fell in love with the third house we saw, and put an offer on it
-That offer got accepted two days later
-Tommy took his first airplane ride
-Crystal and Tommy visited her family in Salt Lake
-Tommy learned how to hold toys and how to bring things to his mouth
-Ben got a promotion
-Ben went on his first official business trip to Monterey, CA
-Ben, Crystal, and Tommy went to Eugene, OR, for another business trip
-Crystal chopped off her hair
-Tommy got his swaddle blanket taken away
-Ben lost 10 pounds
-Ben went river rafting
-Tommy learned how to sleep more than 30 minutes at a time during the day
-We went with our first hike with Tommy
Now we are home, trying to get things back to normal and pack up our apartment to move at the end of the month. Our new home is in Goodyear. We are sad to leave our awesome friends in Mesa, but we are so excited for the adventure of meeting new friends! Here are a few pictures from the last couple of weeks.

A Night in the Crib
This is gangsta-Tommy, or Tommy Gun, getting ready for a night in the crib.
This is how we usually find Tommy in the morning. We swaddle him up in the "Miracle Blanket," or the baby straight jacket, but lately he is getting so big that he wiggles his legs right out of it. This was a pretty clean escape, I must admit.
"Take Your Baby to Work Day"
Having a baby is the best. He gets more and more fun as the days go by. He is smiling more and more all the time. I get the most smiles when I play with Tommy on the changing table. Ben gets lots of unprovoked smiles when Tommy is eating or just hanging out. We have also learned recently that the secret to getting Tommy to relax enough to fall asleep is rubbing his head. Sometimes we pet it like we are petting a puppy and sometimes we rub it like you would a crystal ball. Either way, it calms the little guy down and makes him fall asleep within minutes. Who knew?
